Malicious applications on Android Market
Software is capable of stealing personal data belongs to millions of users Android and delivered to a site that is located at www.imnet.us. After investigation, the site seems to belong to someone who is located in Shenzhen, China
The software itself camouflaged with a custom background wallpaper application was distributed officially in Googles Android Market for free. The danger, this application has been downloaded 4.6 million times as much.
After Android users downloading, then the criminals collect data such as history browsing, messaging, mobile phone SIM card number of users, identification number to subscribe, even voice mail password.
"The number is certainly not currently known as Android Market does not release detailed data," says Dean Takahashi of VentureBeat security firm.
